Computer Club

Computer Club

When Computer Club recommenced in mid September it had very little support.

It met again on Wednesday 16th November when support was also poor.

It has therefore now been decided to discontinue it until further notice.

if and when a requirement to recommence it is recognised, we will review the situation.

Your input is always welcome.

The course, now in its 5th year, is completely free of charge although a contribution (suggested 5€ per session) is invited in support of the Clean Water project for under-developed countries.

No fees or costs are deducted by the Club from your contribution.

The purpose of the club is threefold-

  • to improved computer literacy; largely by making members more confident in PC (Personal Computer) usage.
  • to meet new people and make new friends.
  • to support the above mentioned charity.

A computer can probably be provided if you do not have a laptop you can bring.

Although some work may be possible on Apple-Mac, the course is primarily intended for PC (Microsoft Windows) systems.

We will try to assist with any particular problems you may have although members must understand that we are not experts in all available software.

There is also an associated course on genealogy.

Please note:

We do not claim to be experts and certainly do not know the answer to all questions.

Just come and enjoy yourself – there is absolutely no pressure.
