Randonées

THE CHAPLAINCY RANDONNEE GROUP

The Chaplaincy Randonnée Group has been in existence for many years and has been a great source of enjoyment to many people. It’s a great way to see new areas, to keep fit and make new friends. The group meets on the 2nd Friday of each month throughout the year. In addition during the summer months, walks are organised after some Sunday services. The  walks are often preceded by a picnic or lunch at a nearby Auberge. The walks are usually about 1 ½ hours and not too strenuous. Tea and cakes are served at the end of the walk. Do come and join us and see the French countryside. Details of the spring  and summer walks are listed below and contact details of the leaders.

 Summer Programme 2012

Friday 8th June: Nanteuil-en-Vallee

David and Janice Stephens will take us away; take us away on a magical mystery tour around beautiful Nanteuil. We plan to meet up at the cemetery parking in Nanteuil-en-Vallee, just off the D740. At that point we will car-share up to the actual starting point.

There will be a variety of levels, one steady incline for sure, but not daunting. Tea will be at Chez Stephens and then a short wood path back down to the start point .

Meet at 2:00pm for a 2:15 start

 Friday 13th July: Esse

John and Kay Ward invite us to join them on a summer stroll.

The walk starts at the car park for the stade in ESSE 16500, which is on the D80 out of Confolens on the road to Briac. It is a circular route of approximately 1¼ hour and takes us along minor roads and tracks through open fields and forestry.

It is an easy route with no major hills or streams to cross.

Meet at 2:00 for a 2:15 start

We are always looking for new walks and leaders, so if you would like to offer or perhaps need help walking out a route please contact:
