Christian Aid Week this year is 13th -19th May
The Chaplaincy supports the work of Christian Aid throughout the year, mainly from the “small change – big change” collecting boxes. The contents of these are directed to the Clean Water campaign which provides equipment and training where there is such dire need for this basic commodity.
However Christian Aid Week is that time when there is an appeal to the wider community and for all of us to make a special commitment to much less fortunate people. Envelopes will be available at our places of worship, so please take one and please put something in it. As you do pause a little and think how this expression of your love will give some hope and encouragement to those in such desperate poverty. Yes – every four seconds – think about it – a mother watches her child die – through lack of clean water. It is a solvable problem, so please help!.
